Process:
In this task, we are required to make an own brand/company.

First we need to think about three businesses:

After we choose one of three, we need to make a mind map for more understanding on how our business will be.

My business is a racing club and also a racing school that provide learning opportunity for youngsters that are interested in Formula 1 and may be participate in Formula 1. As a racing club, we also have membership to join. We will be provided an one day lesson for our member about how to drive a race car and safety precautions when driving.

There will be 8 race tracks in total, 2 kart tracks for kids, 2 race tracks for adult and 4 race tracks for students.

Aside from racing school and club, we will also have a merchandise shop. We will be selling racing and non-racing stuff. For racing stuff, it will be racing helmet, racing hand glove, racing suit, racing socks and shoes. For non-racing stuff, it will divided to two categories which are apparel and non-apparel.

The name of the racing club is Lightning H Racing Club. Target Audience will be public especially car lover and who dreamed to be a racer.

After done setting up with the business, we start to create our brand logo.

Two images above are my 24 sketches of brand logo in first week. Most of my idea are surround with the lightning symbol combine with the letter "H". I also try something related with racing combined with the brand name, such as MOMO steering wheel, racing steering wheel and race tracks.

Two images below are my sketches on second week. In these sketches, I play more lettering of "LHRC" that stands for Lightning H Racing Club. One idea is a combination of "LH" and gearbox is one of my favorites.

Next, we choose some of the logos and digitalized it.

Digitalized log 01 & 02 is the idea of MOMO steering wheel with lightning symbol or letter "H"

Digitalized logo 03-08 is lettering of "LHRC" and combine with the idea of race track.

Digitalized logo 10 is the idea of gearbox with letter "LH" and has a lighting symbol on the gear knob.

Digitalized logo 12&13 is the idea of fire gearbox with letter "LH" and the gear knob is a lightning.

The devil smile of digitalized logo 14 is a lightning symbol and the teeth is letter "H" with racing club on the bottom.

After getting some feedback from lecturer, I try more patterns as combining the digitalized logo 05 with 10 but the outcome is not good.

At the end, I use the digitalized logo 10 as my final logo and try to match with the wordmark.

I try different typefaces and different positions.

And also, I try two color variations on the logo. One is yellow #ffc200, another one is blue #00ffff. And I also make a few of different color combinations/placements.

After getting some feedbacks, the image below is my pre-final outcome of the brand logo.

After the decision make, I started to finalize the artwork. And images below are my final outcomes.

This logo animation is taking the idea of driver changing the gear when driving.
