TASK 2(B) Collateral
I had done what Mr. Vinod suggest and let the 'Join Us Now!' badge at the
bottom out of the poster for not letting it be the same of the top. If it is
the same, it may looks like too rigid.
Animated Invite
Due to the first poster, Mr. Vinod told me to 'throw' away this invitation. XD
This first outcome is what a digital form of the shirt will looks like when you require garment factory to make the shirt for you. But need to add the size of the shirt and those artworks. I have the experience, so I know the process.
I change the place of the 'CREW' because the mockup cannot make the 'CREW'
place where I want originally. But it still lokks good and looks more like a
staff uniform.

Week 05 Introduction of Task 2(A)
What is a Key Artwork?
A key Artwork behaves like a logo, but is also an artwork. As a logo, it
is used to identify an event or person but it is also used as an artwork
adorned on a poster (collateral) or disassembled into constituent shapes
to form vibrant patterns that continue to maintainn its xisual identity
and relationship with the key artwork from which it is derived from.
For this task, we can use the initial letter of our name or our full
name. Explore and compose as many permutations and combinations of these
complicated or confusing that leads to a functional and communicable key
artwork. This key artwork will subsequantly be used in Task 2(B) on
various collateral.
Week 06 Special Hari Raya Holiday
Week 07 First Progression Checking and Introduction of Task
2(B)
We are tasked to design a poster (A3 size), an animated invite
(800*800 / 1024*1024 px) and one collateral relevant for our
event/occupation using the key artwork developed in Task 2(A). We
will work on the poster first and fine-tune the outcomes before going
on to the animated invite and other collateral material. The graphic
output must result from in-depth exploration and must communicate both
visually and textually the desired message and mood set by the key
artwork and its function.

Task 2(A) Key Artwork
My full name: Henry Lim Chin Xin
My choice of my name for key artwork: HLCX
My occupation if didn't study design: Barber
A image of a barber is cutting hairs using scissors with comb. From
this inherent impression, I decided to use comb and things in saloon
to create a ket artwork.
The second ideea is creating a ket artwork with combinaiton of
saloon mirror. The H represent the LED lights on the mirror, the L
represent the chair and CX represent customer.
The third idea is just a combinaiton of X and scissor, HLC is
designed to have a visual effect of cutting.
Feedback:
First Idea: The usage of the contrast is unreadable.
Second Idea: Can't see the visual of the saloon mirror, it looks
like somthing else but it looks like a key artwork and has potential
in it. However, have to find a solution to make it
understandable.
Third Idea: 'This cannot lah'
After the feedback, I think that the comb is more relatable to
Barber and I choose it to be my key artwork.

TASK 2(B) Collateral
Poster
The idea of the title inside the box is trying to make it looks like a
scissor, those triangles are an effect of cutting.
Feedback:
The colour skin is good. But the poster do not relatable to the key artwork
and the font size it too big. Can make 'H' Big at the background and try
some other explorations.
After the suggestion of Mr. Vinod gave, I immediately came out two new
poster, which is:
Fig 3.4 Fourth Outcome
Feedback:
These two are better and the fourth is slightly better. The logo of the
fourth outcome is at the center, try to make it to the left to be
off-center, don't cut the poster in half. The information (Date, Time, Venue
and Ticket) is not too clean, can make all the same font size and make the
DATE, TIME, VENUE and TICKET bold.
After more exploration, this is my final outcome:
For this outcome, I use the idea of the first poster outcome. I think its
kinda looks like a porper invitation that will receive from at the 00's.
Due to the first poster, Mr. Vinod told me to 'throw' away this invitation. XD
After my final outcome of poster, I create a new inviation with the
elemants of the fourth poster and this is my outcome:
The first thing will see in this invitation is my key artwork, followed by
the 'Join Us Now!' badge that I try to make them looks like police line.
Then, The 'H" appear and become bigger and fill the entire screen. The
informations shows up then become bigger and a make the screen become black
back again.
Size: 1024*1024px
Frame: 30 fps (output: 25fps)
Duration: 15 sec
Collateral-T shirt
For collateral, I choose T-shirt because I wolud like to make my worker to
wear company uniform to make the saloon looks unity.
This first outcome is what a digital form of the shirt will looks like when you require garment factory to make the shirt for you. But need to add the size of the shirt and those artworks. I have the experience, so I know the process.
However, this task is requiring a simulate (mockup) of the shirt. And here
is my outcome.

Week 7
General Feedback:
Be aware on choosing colours.
Specific Feedback:
First Outcome: The usage of the contrast is unreadable.
Second Outcome: Can't see the visual of the saloon mirror, it looks like
somthing else but it looks like a key artwork and has potential in it.
However, have to find a solution to make it understandable.
Third Outcome: 'This cannot lah'
Week 9
General Feedback:
Poster should refelct key artwork
Find reference.
Specific Feedback:
First and Second Poster: The colour skin is good. But the poster do not
relatable to the key artwork and the font size it too big. Can make 'H'
Big at the background and try some other explorations.
Third and Fourth Poster: These two are better and the fourth is slightly
better. The logo of the fourth outcome is at the center, try to make it to
the left to be off-center, don't cut the poster in half. The information
(Date, Time, Venue and Ticket) is not too clean, can make all the same
font size and make the DATE, TIME, VENUE and TICKET bold.
Animated Invite: 'This throw away lah'
REFELECTION:
Task 2(A)
From Task 2(A). I learned that a key artwork may reflect what is your
occupation with just seeing your logo.
Task 2(B)
From Task 2(B), I learned that poster that done within using the key artwork
can be very nice from using many other elements. A simulation can make what
actually the outcome will be in realistic.
