Digital Photography and Imaging - Week 6

LECTURE:

Week six briefing is talking about poster design execution and the meaning of public service announcement (PSA).

*PSA had been explained last week but I didn't mentioned it.

PSA is message that is disseminated public interest without any charges. The purpose of PSA is raising and changing public attitudes & behaviour on social issues.

After that, our lecturer continue talking about our project 2B.

Today is more focus on defining our concept.

Lecturer shows us many PSA poster design and ask some of us what we saw on the poster, what the poster is describing and told us that it doens't matter your design is good or bad, if the poster is eye-catchy, then it is a good poster that will let audience stop for look for it.

PRACTICAL:

Today's practical is recoloring the black and white photo given.

Fig 1.2 The Process

First, I thought that just need to color the bright part of the face and neck but after I slide to the next slide, I found it that we are gonna color the whole face and neck with skin color except the eyes and lips and I be like "WHAT???" and I quickly color it the whole face and erase the eyes and lips part.

I use hard round for the brush, but the skin and hair are not coordinative, so I change it to soft round and smoothing adjust to 25%.

Since I very like blue colour, the eyes, hair and shirt is given a blue colour. For the background, I use the contrast color of blue, orange.

Lastly, this is my final result:
